Each year is a new and blessed experience for members of Eight Count - the hip hop dance ministry at GrX. Last year, we performed at a rally for Japan after the earthquake, a dance festival on Santana Row, a dance showcase at Stanford University, a workshop show at Mission in the Mix in SF, and even went to missions in Kenya!
We are looking for new members this year. We are looking for people who are passionate about God, community, and dance to join our ranks. Auditions will be on Tuesday, September 27, with Callbacks on Thursday, September 29 at the GrX Ministry Center (2346 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara, CA). Auditions and Callbacks are both at 7:30PM.
Dancers of all skill levels are welcome to attend. Whether you are curious about the ministry, just want to take a free dance class, or are serious about joining us, we'd love to see you there! All welcome! To RSVP contact info@eightcount.com.

The good folks at Eight Count are bringing a whole new ministry to GrX. We are hosting free dance workshops at GrX Ministry Center every Sunday at 6:00PM. The mission of the ministry is the same: to glorify God through the art of dance. However, this time, we are doing it through open workshops.
After each workshop, we will leave the dance floor open to freestyle or just hang out. These workshops are meant to Connect, Build, and Serve the local community through the art of dance.
All levels are welcome! Feel free to bring your friends!

GrX will be continuing their weekly FREE workshops! This weeks choreographer will be A.J. Gomez.
A.J. Gomez was born in Santa Clara and was raised in San Jose until today. In 2005 he started with folk dancing with Hiyas Phillipine Folk Dance Company under the direction of Justin Mambaje. After two or three years into the group, he discovered that some of his team member were doing Hip Hop and made him realize his true passion for dance. By 2008, He transitions from Folk dancing to Hip Hop under a junior division team known as: Movement Munchers under Andrew De La Cruz, Chad Pacifico and Kento Vo. In 2009 he also joined an adult division team known as Wrawsome in San Jose with Jeffro Rosalejos. After countless groups, workshops and free-styling in his home garage, A.J. has finally settled in a new group known as the Chocolate Factory based in Cupertino under the influence of Guino Dalit.
